Money · free on every plan
Collect pack dues online. Stop chasing the stragglers.
A typical pack moves about $20,000 a year: dues, campout fees, derby kits, the Blue and Gold. Almost all of it still gets collected with a spreadsheet column, a Venmo handle, and a volunteer sending reminder emails from their own address. MemberCairn collects it for you, and collecting is free on every plan.
Founder offer, through September 1: the whole Guide plan plus your own .org web address for $0 today, then $149 on Oct 1 to complete your first year. Money collection is free either way.
Who paid and who still owes, one glance
The treasurer’s year
Four times a year it gets ugly.
Not because anyone is disorganized. Because the money and the headcount live in different places, and one volunteer has to reconcile them by hand.
Annual dues come due
How it goes now
A spreadsheet column, a Venmo handle in a group text, and three families who pay in cash at a meeting. Sibling discounts get worked out by hand, twice, because someone joined in October.
With MemberCairn
One collection for the whole pack, sized per Scout, with a sibling discount if you want one. Every family gets their own link. Who has paid is a glance, not a reconciliation night.
A campout needs $25 a head
How it goes now
You post the fee, collect RSVPs somewhere else, and spend the next two weeks matching names against payments and sending "friendly reminder" emails from your own address.
With MemberCairn
The fee rides on the RSVP itself. A family taps yes and pays right there, by card or straight from their bank. The headcount and the money are the same list.
Somebody still has not paid
How it goes now
A volunteer has to become the bad guy, by name, in a group chat, to people they see every Tuesday.
With MemberCairn
On the Guide plan your AI assistant follows up privately with the families who said yes but have not paid. Nobody on the committee has to be the one asking.
The committee wants numbers
How it goes now
Export, sort, cross-check the bank statement, discover a duplicate, rebuild the tab before Thursday.
With MemberCairn
Collected and still-out totals per collection, and the money already sitting in the pack’s own bank account, where the treasurer can see the payouts.
Setup
Three steps, once.
Connect the pack’s bank account
Your treasurer links the pack account once through Stripe, the payment company behind millions of businesses. It takes a few minutes and it is the only setup step.
Say what you are collecting
Annual dues per Scout, a campout fee, a derby kit, the Blue and Gold. Set the amount and the due date. Add a sibling discount if your pack uses one.
Families pay from their phone
No account to create, no app to install. They tap a link or an RSVP and pay by card or bank transfer. You watch it land.
What the family sees
A link, an amount, and two ways to pay. No account to create, no app to install, nothing to remember. Paying straight from a bank account is always offered, because it is the cheapest way for them.
On the Guide plan, your AI assistant follows up privately with the families who said yes but have not paid, so no volunteer has to be the one asking.
What it costs
Free to collect. On every plan.
Collecting money is not a paid feature here and never will be. It is free on the Free plan, with no card to start and no cap on how much you collect. We are not going to charge a volunteer committee for the privilege of getting paid.
Collecting is free on every plan, including Free, and the fee schedule is public: the family paying online covers one service fee at checkout, 3.5% plus 49¢ by card or 1.5% capped at $8 straight from their bank account, always the cheapest way. That fee covers Stripe's processing and MemberCairn's share (at most 0.6% plus 19¢ on card, at most $3.74 on bank), which is exactly how the software stays free. Flip a switch and the pack absorbs it instead. For comparison, Scoutbook's own online payments charge families a flat 3%.
Money lands in your pack’s own bank account. MemberCairn never holds your funds. Payouts, refunds, and bank details live in the pack’s own Stripe dashboard, so the money trail belongs to the pack, not to us.
